Abortion BAN

On Friday, June 24th the supreme court decided on Roe v. Wade giving a cascade of anti-abortion legislation.

13 states announced that they will take fast action within 30 days by banning the abortion right if Roe was turned down by the supreme court.

Guttmacher Institute published a report clarifying the situation of the anti-abortion legislation in the states. and they said abortion rights are still legal and will be protected in some states.

The governor of Virginia Glenn Youngkin said that his state will ban abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

Other governors expressed their interest in discussing other anti-abortion legislation to add more legislation or remove old legislation.

Some states declare that they will start immediately to ban abortion others like Virginia said they will put a role and in some states, abortion will still be legal and protected.

In some states, the fate of the antiabortion law is foggy because it was protected by the Democratic governors but if the Republicans win in the upcoming midterms the path will be clear, and the probability of adding more anti-abortion legislation are high.

Several demonstrations erupted in a number of states, denouncing the decision of the Supreme Court, and a number of human rights organizations joined these demonstrations.
